To some people, Africa is an unlikely place for a vacation. They think of wilderness, wild animals, deserts and such. However, aren’t these places fit for an adventure?

Unlike what most people (who probably don’t know) think, Africa is actually a place abundant in natural resources, which includes rich forests, typical deserts with not so typical oasis, and rare animals.

Moreover, it is place of pure beauty, not only composing of deserts and dry areas. It especially has many forms of water bodies, including waterfalls and seas with inspiring and noteworthy reefs.

Thus, it would be hard to choose which of the many safaris to choose, especially if it’s your first time coming to Africa. If it’s not, then it will be puzzling to think of the many opportunities to make your second time as good as, or probably better, than the first.

Here are a few options to choose from or search from when looking for a great safari adventure:

East Africa

Considered as the first ever to come up with safaris, East Africa is one beautiful safari ground. It is one of the most visited parts of Africa, due to its popularity of having an original safari, which is considered by many to be the “classic” when it comes to safaris. East Africa is composed of many countries, the most popular of which when it comes to safaris are Kenya and Tanzania.

Kenya is famous for being perfect for all occasions, from perfect family get-together safaris to lover’s honeymoon safari. They also have everything, from budget oriented trips to the most luxurious safari a man can have.

Masai Mara

Moreover, Kenya has the world famous attraction known as Masai Mara, one of the hosts to the famous wildebeest migration. If you want to make your trip worth it, visit in the middle of the year and watch this world famous natural show.

Aside from that, Kenya also prides itself of its other attractions, including Amboseli, Tsavo, and Samburu.

On the other hand, Tanzania is famous for its many iconic sites as well as its bigger safari grounds. It has the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Aside from that, it also has several non-crowded, but lovely, nature reserves, such as Ruaha and Katavi.

If its adventure you’re looking for, book a trip climbing towards the top of the highest mountain and see a variety of rare and wild finds of animals and insects along the way.

Though the two, Kenya and Tanzania, are different in their kind of offers, they are similar in offering East Africa’s best safari destination, opportunities, and finds.

South Africa

Another region worth mentioning when it comes to safari is the southern region of Africa. It promises a variety of places and animals to see within its many different places, such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and Botswana. Tours on these parts are more on great viewing of the many games one can rarely find in any other place.

The most famous of the southern African places is the country called Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is a beautiful place made up mostly of savannahs and moist forests, which promises a variety of life. It contains antelopes, elephants, and buffalo.

Victoria Falls

Aside from that, and most importantly, it is in Zimbabwe where one can find and see the grandeur of one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the largest falls known as “Victoria Falls.” If you want to see it, then a safari in the border of Zimbabwe would be best.

Moreover, for those who love camping in the middle of a safari, Zambia would be the best place to visit. South Luangwa and Kafue National Park offers a variety of game as well as several well-mannered camps, where people can stay and enjoy while getting to know the wild.

Namibia and Botswana, on the other hand, also offers many different kinds of large animals, such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and giraffes. For animal lovers, these two would be the perfect place to visit.

After choosing, and hopefully after going on the safari itself, be sure to wrap it up with good cheer by getting wild and wet on the many beautiful beaches of Africa (or the neighboring places). To be sure, a visit to the nearby islands of Mozambique, Mauritius, and Madagascar (three M’s) to enjoy the sea and all it has to offer would not only make the vacation, visit, and adventure perfect, it would also make it the most memorable.

So, what are you waiting for? Do a little research and book now! It might be the perfect chance.
