The world has a lot of beautiful things and places to offer. For certain, humans crave to explore and see the world at least once in their lives.
Even if one is not interested at all in travelling, I am sure that the thought crossed your mind, at least once in your life. For me, going out of my shell and seeing a country or two is one of the highest in my list of things to do before I die.
It might be wishful thinking. To some, it may be impossible or a waste of money. However, one cannot just sit back, stay in one place, and be contented at the same time. Maybe, I’m wrong. But, maybe I’m not.
If I’m right, then here are my top five picks of countries to go before I die:
1. Egypt
Even if one does not have an interest in archaeology and history, one picture of Egypt’s beautiful sites will definitely peak one’s interest in this beautiful country.
Not only does it have a lot of substance, descending from one of the oldest civilizations that ever existed, it also has a lot of awe-inspiring places, which will definitely change a skeptic’s mind.
Some of the best places to visit in Egypt includes the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley of the Kings, Siwa Oasis, the Nile River, and the Abu Simbel.

2. Jordan
To some, this country may be an odd choice since visiting the beautiful countries in Europe would be best. However, what some may not know, Jordan is a beautiful and interesting country to visit, especially after visiting Egypt’s lovely attractions.
It is a place of great interest, with its archaeological wonders, historical connection, and ancient architectural treasures. It also is a place full of preserved cultural and traditional devices.
Be prepared to be amazed when visiting the spectacular ancient city of Petra, which is carved out of huge pink rocks (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonder of the World).
Aside from this site, Jordan proudly presents may other sites such as the village of Umm el-Jimal, the Crusader Castle of Shoubak, Qas Amra, and the Dead Sea.

3. China
The next place one can go is China. It is an unusual place for a vacation trip; however, it is definitely one of the best places to visit.
China prides itself of its tourist sites, delicious cuisine, and rich Chinese culture. In a way, it is better to visit during or shortly after the Beijing Olympics.
For a more memorable trip, one can go see the famous attraction known as The Great Wall of China, which definitely remains true to its greatness as stated in its name. Aside from that, a cruise on the Yangtze River is also a must when talking about China
Moreover, a trip to Guilin and Shanghai will not only prove educational, but also enjoyable.

4. Hong Kong
For those who love shopping, Hong Kong is the best place to be and the first place to start off to when travelling. Bargain your way off Nathan Road and I’m sure you’ll be one satisfied person even before nearing the end of your trip.
Aside from shopping, Hong Kong is also famous for the serene view from Victoria Peak and the peaceful Lama and Lantau Islands. After all, Hong Kong is not only all about modernity and industrialization; it is also about culture and tradition.
For kids, a visit to Hong Kong will not be complete without spending a day at Hong Kong Disneyland.

5. Indonesia
Being the largest archipelago in the world, Indonesia is one fine sight to see, especially its spectacular yet rustic landscapes which calms the heart of anyone who sees it.
Famous for its many delicious and heart-warming cuisines, Indonesia is definitely the best place to go to for many food-lovers. Aside from that, it is a haven for those who appreciates God’s gift to nature.
For a complete experience of the most significant parts of Indonesia, one may start of visiting the famous island, Bali. It is a compact collection of luscious beaches, serene countryside, volcanic hillside, and rich culture.
In addition, one should not miss visiting the Borobudur, the Komodo National Park, the Gili Islands, and Lake Toba.

Truthfully, there are a lot of countries one can dream of visiting, each with their own beautiful attractions. However, these five are a pick in terms on personal opinion and personal taste.
In actuality, a visit to any country in this blessed Earth will prove to be unregretful, for each possesses something unique and something to be proud of.
