5. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

A destination to delight your eyesight, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a seaside mansion surrounded by beautiful lush gardens. It was once owned by the Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, showcasing her family’s wealth and life of luxury.

The villa was built in between 1905 and 1912 designed by French architect Aaron Messiah. It was once host to generous parties of the Baroness and boasts priceless artworks and furnishings. Upon her death, the baroness donated the villa to the Academie des Beaux Arts of the Institut de France. Today the place is open to the public for viewing.
